Does anyone know if this Lend America is a scam? I really need to refinance!

It depends on what you consider a scam. They will charge 3 or 4 points in fees in addition to normal closing costs. This could increase the total amount owed by thousands or more.

Sure, you will get a better rate but it will take upwards of 10 years to realize any actual value.

I just refinanced with Lend America. I went from 6.5% to 3.4%. I also went from 30 years to 15 year payment. I was extremely hapy with who I dealt with. Very professional. They are out of NY and I am in NC.

YES,YES,YES I closed with them on oct 3, to date they have not paid off my first mortgage and it is now in default closing in on foreclosure

Call them. They need to straighten things out immediately for you. Don't wait!!

As of Monday Nov 30, the federal government (HUD, FHA and Ginnie Mae) has WITHDRAWN its support to Lend America and Lending Key. They are looking to bring civil fraud charges against them. They are a scam. The office here on Long Island has been shut down

They tried to pay off my 1st mortgage earlier this month with a BAD check. If you or I wrote a bad check for $60,000 we would be in jail. I hope all of the ex-employees and Michael Ashley get what is coming to them, it may be in 5 hours or 50 years, but they will get theirs for doing this to people
