Help! Had my hair high lighted and it's too light!
I used to be a hairdresser over 10 years ago. Needless to say, I am not up with all the color anymore. I know all I need to do is to put a toner in it, but I don't want to wind up like a pumpkin either! My question is... I have strawberry blond hair that I have foiled. I just had the roots done and they are soooooo white compared to the rest of my hair. If I used Miss Clairol Strawberry blond with 10% developer for 15 minutes will this darken the blond slightly?? Please help... the hair dresser who did this is gone for a week and I don't want to wait. I 'm nervous because it has a red base, but my hair has natural red highlights throughout.

It's best to use only a 10-volume peroxide developer with your desired hair color. This offers no lifting action in the hair, and will tone down the current shade.
