Flexible J-bend conntection to wall stub out.
I needed to snake the main kitchen sink line because of it being clogged. I replaced a flexible J-bend because the top seemed to be folded over causing the connection to leak.
I put on a new flexible j-bend, and used the plastic washer coming from the sink with out trouble. Now, it said to use the plastic washer with the tapered end facing down, on both ends which I did. It just kept slipping off when I tried to tighten the nut on the shorter one that connects to the stub out on the wall.
There is a 90 degree plastic pipe with a ferrule coming out of the stub out in the wall.. do I still need to use the plastic washer or does the ferrule at the end of the pipe act as a washer and stop it from leaking.?
