    Hello docter
My father has 65 years age.he undergone bypass surgery 20years back.
Four years back his himoglobin was falldown... but that time he taken iron tablets.. then his himoglobin value became normally.
Today we found that his himoglobin value falldown to 5.5 .
    so he feeling some weekness.
Is it necessary to give him some bottels of blood immidiatly or not ?
Is it good if he starts taking iron tablets again without going for blood bottles because his age is 65 now.But he recoverd early when he was 61years old by taking only tablets.

    Please give me your advice..

This is something that he needs to discuss with his doctor. This is not a condition that we can advise you on as there are many disorders that cause this and his doctor is the best to advice you in this situation.
