Can't open files downloaded with dap
    Hello!
I get many mails with *.pps files. Now I started to work with dap' and I can't open this file any more. I must to stop dap and then dowload and open them. When I do this evry thing is o.k.
What is the problem with sap? I know it is a good software.
    Thanks michael

Not sure but there may be a file association issue since installing DAP

What I would try is to have DAP open and then right click on one of the .pps files and choose Open with...

    -Now click Choose Program

When the list comes up, click your program that you usually use to open the .pps file to highlight it (powerpoint I assume?)

-Now put check in the box that says,
Always Use the Selected Program to open this kind of file

    Now click Apply

    Hopefully that will do it

I can't do it because dap download and open it. I don't want to save it first.

Not familiar with DAP but you still need to set the file association with PowerPoint (or whatever) as the default program to open the file.

Download one and do as mentioned above with DAP closed and then try to download again after setting the default program for .pps

    2 step process

What is DAP? If its trying to open your PPS files, then its as seahawk said, you have a file association issue.

If this is what he is referring to: SAP BW 7.0 Archiving Data By DAP
It has nothing to do with freeware or shareware since SAP is a large enterprise application. People are paid big money to specialize in these apps, I doubt there is anyone here that can help.

DAP is a download accelerator (download manager) to download files

    SAP is something different

Still seems like file association issue
