Preventing tracking from an asphalt surface
I have an asphalt parking area under an overhang near the beach, so the area gets no sunlight. The asphalt was coated with a Sealmaster product 5 years ago. There is a great deal of black soot that comes off the surface (and is subsequently carried into the house on the bottoms of shoes). Is there any asphalt coating material that can prevent this tracking? Or can this surface be coated with concrete or any other substance to prevent tracking? Thank you.

Sounds like the sealer never cured properly and anything you add except more hot mix asphalt will just come off with the unbonded sealer.
I think you can 1) attempt to remove the loose sealer chips or 2) put on another inch or so of hot mix asphalt.
A high pressure washer might take the chips off.
If it is under the overhang, resealing isn't very important anyhow.
