Had a Baby March. Had abortion and big sister died sept in space of 2 weeks
    Hiya everyone,
If you are reading this thank you for taking the time to do so... I had a gorgeous healthy baby girl in March this year, our 2nd daughter... Got diagnozed with Fibromyalgia after giving birth and popping out a disc in neck and back. On gabapentin and a lot of morphine.
September discovered I was 10 weeks pregnant and had spent last 7 weeks seriously ill, unable to keep medication down left me constant pain.Dr told us baby would be seriously disabled due to all medication on, paid for private detailed scan not 12 weeks but could tell doc was right. Sister died from bone cancer was extremely close was godmother to my eldest daughter who is 9. day before funeral had to go for termination (which sorry to say I am so against) in hospital. Had the funeral. Not slept a wink since found out was pregnant. Begged docs to help me giv me something to sleep. They gave me 5 zopiclone tablets?? Had last 1 last night... nothing. I power nap have 20 tp 30 minutes during night that's it bump awake... tried everything even pain doc I'm under is stuck ANYBODY..? I need sleep can't any answers would be appreciated thank you...

I'm so sorry for everything you're going through. It seems that when it rains it pours, doesn't it?

Have you thought about going for a second opinion? There have to be other meds available, obviously the ones you're on aren't helping and with two children you need your rest.

As for the rest, depression is not going to help the bad physical state you're already in. Have you considered counseling or joining a group with other people that are going through similar things? When I lost my parents it really helped to talk to a therapist and other people that had suffered through loss as well.

I wish I could be more help.

I do wish you good luck and hope that things get better for you and your family.

You are going through a terrible time, and I'm so sorry for what you've had to endure. You are going through grief, sadness and pain and your mind (and body) are unable to wind down. Because so many awful things have been happening, stress is keeping you awake and alert.

I am in no position to recommend medication, but I was wondering if relaxation and meditation might not help. You can buy CD's that are relaxation/meditation focused, and you could play these when you are in bed. Through headphones if you wanted to not disturb your husband. It may take some time for you to wind down enough to get longer periods of sleep.
