I am having an issue with my boiler, it's blowing out cold air all the time. If I raise the temperature it turns to heat, but once it reaches that temp it continuously blows cold air. I tried turning it off at the thermostat, the switch in the stairway, the switch at the boiler and I pushed the red reset button inside the unit... still blows cold air. I'm hoping to avoid a costly service call. The boiler is almost three years old. It has AC capabilities, but I do not have it set up (units, etc... )

If you are having to push the red reset button that means

You are running out of oil
Or
The burner is having a firing problem.

In all cases with the firing problem you should contact a local HVAC service company that deals with oil burners since it takes a professional to repair oil burners.
A oil burner should be tuned up EVERY YEAR so now is the time to do it before the cold weather gets here.

I have a full tank of oil so that's not the problem. I guess what is baffeling me is that I can get warm air from it if I turn up the thermostat. It just runs cool when it's calling for heat. Would that happen if it's not firing?

More than anything I'm afraid it's going to run up my electricity bill because it's constantly running.

Oh well, guess I need to make a call. Thanks for your help anyway...

If it is just running the blower that is one thing but you said you had to hit the red reset button and that means problems.

I didn't actually HAVE to hit the red button, I just thought maybe it would reset itself if I did. Here's how it started.

I noticed it blows cool air continuously. I turned it off at the thermostat, and it still blew cold air. That's when I went around and did everything else, hoping it would reset itself. The only way to keep it from blowing cold air is to turn it off at the switch at the stairs or the switch on the boiler. When the switch is turned on it starts up again and begins blowing cold air again. If I turn up the termostat to call for heat it does blow warm, but them goes back to cold once it reaches the desired temperature.

Does that make more sense? Do you think it's still the same problem?

That is a better explanation. Your fan control is out of adjustment (range) or needs to be replaced. If this is a hot water air handler it is possible the fan relay could be defective. There should be a wiring diagram on the inside of the blower door.
