    Laminate flooring
I am going to be installing some click laminate flooring. I have 2 bedrooms that lead out to a common hallway. I want to run the bedrooms one direction and the hall the other. How do I join the laminate in the doorways without using a transition strip?

If you read the installation directs you may find the manufacturer does not recommend what you want to do. First, there is no way to join flooring running perpendicular to each other without a transition strip. Secondly, this will not produce a good "look" when finished. Why do you want to do it this way?

It is done with hardwood flooring all the time . I don't want a raised strip in the doorways

Snap laminate is not installed like hardwood flooring at all. The installation is usually a floating floor whereas hardwood is nailed and/or glued. Again, why do you want to have the flooring running 2 different way? Standard installation has all the flooring running parallel.
