Thermostat does not work when it is switch from cold to heat. I sat it up to 90 on the upper part but I do not feel the heat all night. The lower setting was on 68. Was working good for summer but now there is no heat even at 90 degrees.

Did you ever think that the thermostat is not the problem but that the furnace is broken?

What type of heat do you have?
Oil, Hot air, Gas, Electric?

What type thermostat? Programmable? Does it have batteries?
