Hello everyone,
Let me first start by saying that I did have a tech in the summer this year and look @ my system. He found that the compressor to my unit was not coming on. After he did all of his checks he told me that the compressor was bad... but that he could try to jump the compressor (for 300 dollars) or of course buy a new unit. Of course not knowing anything
About AC and not having the money for a new 2000 plus unit I paid the 300 dollars and got through the summer. Now however the same thing has occurred. Everything is working inside and out but no cold air.
My question I guess is can this jumper that was installed fail to the point that a new compressor or unit will be needed or can I get another jumper for it?
Also by reading some posts it seems that a capacitor might be the real problem from the start
And this could this be my real culprit?
Any help in this matter would be of great help I am sure thanks in advance.
Mark
