    Taxes working out of state.
I am currently working in TN, Living in a company paid motel. I have a residence in AR. That is being rented out. Do I have to pay AR state taxes? I may be able to move with the company in 5 or 6 months to another st. since it has not been determined yet if I will be there or in another state permenatly I am in limbo.

During the period you are present in TN, any TN income must be reported to TN.
If you are resident of AR, then you will report your worldwide income to AR. On the AR return, you will claim credit for taxes paid to TN.

    Mukat:

TN has no state income tax.

Also, the OP probably does not have to pay AR state income taxes if he can make the case that his domicile is now in TN, even though he is living in a hotel. The OP may want to open a post office box near his hotel to establish that domicile, IF that is sufficient for the Tennessee state authorities.
