I am a single parent with one child, who has always been in my custody. He carries his dad's full name, who in which, never signed the birth certificate. He is the father, however, he IS NOT ACTIVE IN HIS LIFE. The dad and I both reside in different states and there is HARDLY any phone communication. How do I go about changing my son's last name to mine?
