How do I find out what my Bankruptcy Record number is?
I am still being harassed by creditors that were listed on my bankruptcy. We moved and now I can't find my papers? I need to find my record number but each website I go to wants me to sign up for a subscription or something to find out. Help!

You should be able to pull up a copy of your credit report and find it on there.

Otherwise, contact the court where your bankruptcy was filed and see if they can give you the information.

Are you 100% positive that the creditors that are contacting you were listed in the bankruptcy? Most of them won't risk the legal problems by contacting/harassing you after they have lost any chance to collect on the debt.

And I'll add that at some point in time OP will need a copy of the Discharge so he/she should go to Bankruptcy Court and pay for a photocopy.

It also is a good idea to have a copy of the complete Petition in the event he/she has to prove that a certain creditor was listed.

If you had an attorney handling this filing for you he should have all the information such as your case number and could possibly send you another copy of your original discharge and filing paperwork.
