My Kemore Elite dishwasher normal wash light keeps flashing and won't start?

Flip the breaker off for 30 seconds at the electric panel, then turn it back on. Has it cleared?

I googled "Kenmore Ultra dishwasher troubleshooting" and got some replies from this website. Several answers focused on the green flashing light (does your Ultra have this?). There were a variety of responses, including replacing the heating element, and others. You should check that out.

I have the same problem on a kenmore dishwasher series 1635 I HAVE FLIPPED THE BREAKER OFF MANY TIMES:FOR 10-30-60-300 SECONDS AND ALL I KEEP GETTING IS THE DRAIN NOISE,oups sorry about the capitals,and then the b... red light on "normal wash"comes back. THe advice I got worked. I held down the start button for 10 sec - did not work. I repeated procedure starting with the first button in the row, then the next, after about the third button, the red light about"start" did stop blinking and went off. I then pressed "start" and have not had any problems since.

I just did everything you suggested,still no result.I understood that I have to push every pad for 10 seconds,which I did. I read all your posts about that problem:still no result.But thank you for the answer I feel less alone!
