    Want to move out of state
    I was just wondering what the laws are for moving out of state of California I have 2 daughters that are 8 and 10 and I have been raising them solely by myself and recently got granted 2 years now Full custody do to a domestic violence and he went to prison for almost killing me the state then moved me and my children to a safe place and helped me start fresh on my own he has been in and out of prison for the last 9 years and is still on current parole I met and married someone that lives in Hawaii and want to move there do I need to do anything more to move he is still curently on parole with only supervised visitation and he has never requested to see my girls what do I do can I move

    Get the courts permission for a move. Once the decision is made by the courts then follow that.

    If he has visitation, then there's a court order in effect. You need to get that order changed.

    If you have full custody and his visitation order doesn't state anything to the contrary, then yes, you can move.

    As excon said, as long as there is a court order giving him visitation, then you have to get that changed before you can move.

    The good news is that will probably be a slam dunk. All you need to prove is that he has made no move to exercise his visitation rights and I am confident a court will approve.
