    Grounding 2 wire BX cable
I am remodeling a home built in the 40's that has 2 strand BX cable with no ground wire. Is it important to ground new recepticles that I am installing and if so, how do I do it? Also I am adding an outlet and light or two and am using 14-2 romex. I am not sure what to do with the ground wire because it doesn't go back to the breaker box. Can anyone help me with this?

Run a green grounding wire (of proper size) to each receptacle served by the "BX" and then at any junctions to modern NM-B cable you can hook to the bare wire and go from there.
