    Duckling Gasping
    Hello,

We have just recently had 2 duckling, being raised by chickens, but one of them, who is 4 days old now.. has suddenly started gasping.. he won't eat, can bearly drink.. he is looking weak now and he has no balance and falls on his back all the time. Yesterday when I tried looking in his mouth, between gasps, he looks kind of foamy.. :(

Can anyone help me to know what might be wrong? This is his 2nd day like it.

    Thank you.

Well we did try feeling for something in his throat, but couldn't feel anything.. though obviously it wasn't out of the question. Just needed to know if this is something that doesn't just happen to some.. as gasping can be due to different things.

    But thanks for your reply.

Okay, I took George, the duckling, to the vet today.. they said he had a neurotic disorder, which has also given him a respiratory problem... he died today, at lunch time :(

Nothing was lodged in his throat.

Hope this might help other people with problems alike.
