    Have been biting my nails for over a decade. Now it's time to stop.
    I've been biting my nails since I was a young child. I never was a "bad" biter. Most people would look at my nails and say "they're a little shorter than usual, but they're not grotestque". Regardless, I'd like to cease this habit.
    What do you suggest I do?

    I learned to stop biting my nails when I started getting my nails done. I like the long fake nails. I always got white tips. There are so many options, especially if you have solar nails.

    I forgot to mention, I am a young man. I'm not really self conscious about my nails in particular, but it bothers me that I have no self-control.
    EDIT: It bothers me sometimes when I damage my nail bed; which makes my fingers hurt. I said that I'm a "light" biter, and this still holds true.

    Get acrylic nails put on. It made me stop. Then after your nails grow, you can get the fake nails soaked off and get acrylic put over your real nails to keep them long and keep you from munching on them.
