Movie set in Italian fishing town
May be an Italian or American movie, but it was set in a fishing village in Italy. It's about making a movie, the whole town wants to be part of the movie, the producers fool the director who is chash strapped and take advantage of the situation to do some smuggling. What's the title? It's a recent movie, maybe less than 6 years ago. Please help!

    Caccia alla volpe (1966)

The original movie was called After the Fox and starred Peter Sellers and DiSica was the director.

There is another version of this out in 2000. Didn't see that one.

The original movie was hilarious and one of my favorites.

Thanks for the information, but I never saw the Peter Seller's/DiSica original version. I'll rent it out now that I know, however, I'm still looking for the title to the new 2000 version...

    After the Fox (2000)

That movie, too, is called After the Fox... coincidentally enough. The Italian title was just the European release title for the 1966 movie. It was released over in the USA under the title After The Fox.

After reading the imdb article, it turns out that this IS the movie I was looking for (the 1966 version - The 2000 version is a 4 min. short film, I never saw it). Why I thought it was recent and it had a different title, I don't know. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You are most welcome. Enjoy Peter Sellers!
