    How to walk away
I would like to ask a question how do I walk away from a marriage after 13yrs, we have no children, and I am 37yrs old. I am afraid to start over again because he is all I know for 16yrs. But I am so unhappy, and lonely. I really need a connection with someone, I find myself wanting to be alone more and more just to avoid seeing happy couples together. My family has told me to leave but financially we are strapped and really cannot afford to go our separate ways. He has never cheated nor have I but the thought is going through my head more and more to do this. He will not seek counseling, so I suggested we just live as roommates basically that's what we have been doing for along time we sleep in separate rooms. I am so stressed when I bring it up to him that I am unhappy he laughs and tells me to knock it off, there is no way the marriage is going to end. How can I make him realize I am serious. Just to say he is a decent man, but just not the man for me. Thank you I appreciate any advice that will be given to me.

Just leave. That's the only way to end it, that's the only way for him to realize that you're done.
