GE Profile Side by Side Freezer not getting cold enough
I have a side by side GE profile fridge that's about 5 years old. The freezer side doe not get cold enough for some reason. The fridge side seems to be working fine. The freezer is cool (temp from 12 - 16 Deg) but never at 0 anymore. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The problem is one of these three elements went bad:

    1. Defrost heater faulty.
    2. Defrost limit switch faulty.
    3. Defrost timer faulty.

There isn't anything else that could cause your problem. In the order of how often the part goes bad - #2 is the worse offender.

Appliance Parts search by model or part number | AppliancePartsPros.com

Use this site and put your model number in and you will get a diagram showing where each replacement part is. Also you can order parts online from these folks and also call them on the 800 help line number. I've used them and they are about the cheapest online parts place and shipping.
