96 s10 blazer makes click sound when I turn the key and that's it. Won't do anything else.battery is not dead,lights come on bright and don't dimm when attempting to start,and jump starting does not help... thank you for any help

Clean battery, starter, and starter solenoid connections. Most likely a bad solenoid. Remove negative. Battery terminal first.
