It seems the kit(#905211) to repair a FEBCO pressure vacuum breaker includes an extra O-ring, is this true or am I not assembling it correctly.

Do I have all of you experts stumped with this question?

I have only worked with Sloan valves. I don't remember extra O-rings in their kits, but they are common in some other things. One kit fits many models.
