The drum motor doesn't run, Admiral dryer
This is for an Admiral Designer Series clothes dryer. It is not installed, but I would like to determine whether the electrical portion works before going to the trouble of taking it to the basement and connecting to the gas. When I turn the timer to any "run" position, the internal light comes on, but nothing else happens. Shouldn't the electrical portion operate independent of the gas connection? If so, and since the light is activated, might it be the internal fuse, and would the light activate if the fuse is bad? Any other suggestion?

    KISS

Try the dryer on the AIR cycle which doesn't need gas.

The internal light may only work when the dryer is stopped. In that case look for a defective lid switch.
