92 Honda Civic won't turn over, lights on dash working
    Here's the story:
I recently bought a 92 Honda Civic for 300$, it's a standard and it's not in the greatest shape but when I went to pick it up, it was running at least. I never drove standard before and knew it would be a struggle learning in 10 minutes and driving home. I drove it from buddy's house, across town to my house, stalled it a few times in his drive way and twice on the way home. When I pulled into my house I thought everything was fine until I tried to start it back up 10 minutes later to go get something a the store and the darn thing won't start. The lights on the dash will work so I don't think it's the battery, some time when I turn the key there is a faint "tch-tch-tch" sound, very faint, but sometimes there is nothing.

My girlfriend and I really need a car to get around work and school, we would like to fix the car but we don't know how much the total repair costs are going to be like.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks for you time

It definitely sounds like the battery needs to be removed and placed on a charger (or replaced). Most auto parts stores will test and charge batteries for free. This link may also help:
