Tub Drain - How can I fix this ?
    Hi -

I am trying to understand what I need to do to fix this tub drain. The top piece is missing, and it has crumbled away. Do I need to find another top ring piece from the Hardware Store and glue it down with something, or what is the proper procedure ?

Please review attached picture for more details.

    Thanks !

Do you have a tub waste like this? If so then all that's needed is the strainer and the long bolt that secures it pictured in the lower left. Let me know. Tom

Nope, it's just the basic setup. See the picture below. I guess I need a strainer and a way to plug it up ?

OK! Go to a big box store and pick up a toe-touch stopper. (see image)/.
    Good luck, Tom

Thanks Tom - I am still a bit confused though...

Looking at the pics you send me of the Toe Touch Stopper, I will have to remove the existing drain piece right ? How would I get that out, and how would I adhere the new piece ?

The Threaded Toe Touch Stopper, looking at the threads it has depth, and I would have to remove what's in there I guess is what I am asking?

Sorry! It looked like you had threads in the tub drain that you could thread a Toe Touch Stopper into. If that's not the case then why not purchase a lever type assemble like the one I've shown and a tub strainer,(see image) for the drain? Good luck, Tom
