A lot of people moan and groan that the government is not working for them, or doing this and that they don't like
So, What would happen if we didn't have a government?
What's your thoughts please

Total anarchy. Isn't this what Communism preaches - no government, government by the people?
There are some people who believe the government should not interfere in peoples lives
But how can a government exist and yet not interfere with poeples lives?
Probably the same as the UK - figureheads, like the royal family.
Even though the royal family are the Heads of State, it is purely a ceremonial poistion, so they are not a government
JudyKayTee is close to the mark.
The idea of anarchism as it is used today was very different to the way it was used in 19th century industrialized society. Anarchism broken away from Marxism because of philosophical differences and the way that the "workers revolution" should be implemented. In fact, anarchists could not agree amongst themselves and anarchism only makes sense if we look at individual philosophers and their historical context.
Very roughly speaking in an anarchist society the workers manage and control the means of production. It is not "mob rule" which is what many would think when we talk about anarchism today.
Anarchists reject all government and see it in the same light as Marxists; as a means to regulate class conflict and keep the ruling classes in power.
I can see why some people might think that right wing politics is similar, especially when they say that governments ought to stay out of the individuals right to freedom. It then becomes the age old question,"who should rule?"
Another important point is that so called ,communist governments of today are not communist in the Marxian sense. Marx would reject any idea of a centralized government.
Marx was of the opinion that once a communist revolution was implemented the state would," wither away". The other important point is that a communist revolution was only possible in a society which had an industrialized base. This excludes all so called communist states that we have today.
