    Irritation or Std?
Ok so, I shave my pubic hair, and the other day I decided to shave like everything down there (its just some weird hair phobia I have) Anyway, I accidentally nicked myself right by my (sorry I don't know correct terms) vagina hole, and it is swollen, I have been monitoring it and it is getting better. But now that I am paying a lot of attention to my vagina I have noticed that on the inside of my inner labia (?) there are these 2 red bumps! They look like zits, they don't hurt and don't bug me, I am FREAKING OUT because I am worried that it is herpes, or warts (I am absolutely terrified to be frank) and I am really hoping it isn't, could it just be an irritation because on top of the whole swollen vagina, I am also having my period and I only have tampons right now, which are sort of irritating but not overly. So I just need an opinion, could it be std? Or just irritation! (I am going to visit my doctor on the 19 but I just want some clarity, I am reallllly having a melt down over here! )

Also I have looked at pictures of both warts, and herpes, and neither of them look like what is going on with me, but it still isn't enough to stop me from worrying, I am so afraid.

Since they weren't causing any discomfort, it seems less likely for it to be anything too serious. But always better safe than sorry, good thing you've got that dr's appt!

I am just extremely embarrassed, I am only 18 and if this is what I hope to god it isn't I don't know what I will do, I have a boyfriend of 8 months and have never had a physical or an std check.

Take a deep breath. Do your best to relax until you go see the dr and see what they have to say. There's no sense in stressing until or unless you know there is actually something wrong. I know that's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much for now.

You need to see a doctor anyway... once you become sexually active it's time for a visit to a gynaecologist for both check ups and pap smears.

If you are too embarrassed to talk to a doctor about sex then you need to stop having it, regular check ups are very important.
I've been poked and prodded more times than I can remember, it's really not that bad.

You get changed behind a screen, lay on a bed and the doctor looks at you for maybe 30 seconds to a minute depending on if they need to take swabs.
