Motion Security Lights and Wireless Switches.
    Hello,

I'm trying to install some motion activated security lights on my home. It's easy enough to wire them directly in, but I wanted to be able to have manual control over them by a switch at the nearest windows to where the lights will be located.

I didn't want to have the hassle of fishing wires through walls and so forth, so I bought a Leviton Decora(Cat. No. 6696) wireless RF wall switch hoping I could wire the switch receiver in line with the light and then use the remote switch at the window.

After wiring it in, as I thought was correct, the motion light would function. It would come on when it detected motion and switch off after the set time, and I could also turn it off from the remote switch after it had been tripped on. What I couldn't do was turn it on from the remote switch, and at times the motion sensor on the light would make a rapid clicking noise.

It may be the case that no matter what I do the switch I have bought is not suited to doing what I wish.

    Any advice?

    Thanks.
