    Moving sink drain around corner
I have a master bathroom that I have been completely remodeling in a slab on grade house. I had hoped to move from a single sink at the door to a double on the adjoining wall. I was planning in connecting to the stand pipe for the toilet in the corner but it goes to the side wall instead of behind the toilet probably to align the main drain line with the washer that backs up to that wall. It is all PVC drain piping.

I need a new plan. Can you drain two sinks around a corner successfully long term? I can sweep the corner through the cabinet that will be in the corner and I can add a new vent at the beginning of the new drain into the attic and tie it across to the existing vent or make a new roof penetration. Will this work?

Have you pulled a permit and will this job be inspected? How far will the developed length be from the old lavatory stack to the new wall stubout? I would go 2" if I could and use a short sweep to make the corner. Will you be using one trap with a continuous waste or two traps? Back to you, Tom

Thanks for the response. I'm the owner and so far the inspector tells me I have done nothing he cares to see. I'm electric by training so I've seen all this just never got on something like this that could be a problem down the road. If I penetrate the slab to find and connect to the drain there I'll have to pull a permit and why I'm wondering if I can make the corner.

Total run from farthest sink to drain is about 8'. I plan to use two traps under the sinks then flow to the existing down drain pipe. I will keep the vent there and add one at the far sink since I'm over the 5' code requirement I read about.

When you say a short sweep do you mean something like a 12" radius?

This drain will be run in the cabinet, correct? So why not install a AAVA(Air admittance Vent) just downstream from the traps inn the cabinet and forget about reventing back at 5 feet?
A "sweep" (see image) is simply a long turn elbo. Good luck, Tom
