At home (in Belgium) we have a oil burning heating system installed in 1964, up till now the system is still working(several burners have been placed and replaced)
The thermostats ( mercury) and the zone valves are Honeywell and still original and working fine.
Now I want to place hour counters over each of the 3 zone valves. (the valves are V2008A2031 1) where can I find info of the wire connection?

If you want to place hour meters on the different zones so you cab charge for heat usage you will need to obtain a specific kit for this since you get into weight and measures and they have to be extremely accurate since money is changing hands. This was popular in the USA years ago but now they just install separate units for each apartment. The company I used to buy these devices from is out of business but you might try.

One thing I might mention is if you are going to charge for the heat using a hour counter it will not work. The pipe temperature and flow rate plus other items need to be taken into consideration. This is why I posted to above links.

I know that for accurate metering a calorimeter is placed in the circuit. Al I want is to know is the open time per zone valve. I was hoping that there are some schematic around the this particular zone valve and its connection to thermostat and burner

According to Honeywell the valves you have are obsolete. The 2008A were changed to a 2045 and then to a 5011 series.

The V5011 and the V2045 are also obsolete.

I tried to find the parts diagram/installer diagram so I could see how they are wired in to see how to adapt an hour meter into the circuit. When all that failed I posted the links above so at least you could purchase there valve and counters.

Now if you are an electrical inclined type of person you can do the following

Find the voltage that is being used for the valve set up you have now. Obtain an isolation relay for that voltage OR use the thermostats voltage if different. Wire the isolation relay in parallel to the thermostat contacts allowing the isolation relay to activate then you can buy whatever voltage hour counter you want, supply that voltage to the hour meter using the isolation relay to make or break the circuit thus keeping time of the valve being opened by the thermostat. Not really to difficult BUT I cannot find the original wiring diagram for your valve or any of the subsequent models made. There are many ways to skin a cat and the above way is just one of them. There are voltage sensitive wrap around relays that could also be used just as an example.
