I have a furnace that turns on for about 10 minutes on 80 degree temp on t-stat only then shuts off what could be possible causes

My first thought is that you have a heat antisipater in your thermostat and it need to be set to match the amprage draw by the gas valve. If your is not a digital thermostat you can set the antisipater at 1.5 amps. And that should do it, if you have a digital you will have to read the directions to know how to set it.
