    Child Support Lien
If someone was laid off from work and they are behind on child support and would like to have the amount they pay in child support reduced can a lien be placed on their property, like their home, car bank accounts? They have started back to work and they are starting to pay support, will their effort make a difference in a court hearing?

There are various methods that can be used to collect arrears.

If they were laid off, they should have filed for a modification of the support order. But if they fell into arrears because of a reduction in income, and as soon as their income came back up they started to repay the courts would take that into account.
