Kenmore Dryer is heating, spinning but not blowing
Kenmore elite dryer 110.6808 is heating, spinning but not blowing. We have checked for blockage but see nothing in the screen, vent hose. Where else and what else could it be?

Disconnect the vent from the back of the dryer. Does it blow then?

I'm not familiar with that model. Is the blower attached directly to the end of the motor or belt driven?

We have pulled off the vent from the back and still no air. I can not find a diagrahm of the dryer to see. I don't know what the blower is attached to.

I checked Sears Parts website for that model. It looks like it has a separate motor for the blower and runs about $152.

Can you, with the power off, reach into the dryer vent and see if you can turn the blower wheel? It may be very clogged, or, the motor has failed.

Check Parts & Accessories | Shop & Find Lawn & Garden, Appliance Parts at Sears PartsDirect | SearsPartsDirect.com and look at the diagram.

Possible problems are the motor and/or belt if it uses one. Sometimes just cleaning the dust out of the bearings is all that's required to repair.
