My dryer is three years old this month and it hasn't been heating since July. I have cleaned all ducts, inside the drum, and reset the breakers. I am trying to accept the fact that I most likely need a new heating element but the same time the dryer stopped heating I noticed the timer doesn't work properly. It will count down but not shut the dryer off when the timer runs out. I know the timer can effect the heating so is it possible this could be a cheaper problem than replacing the heating element?
