    Heat pump sizing
I have a 2800 sq/ft, 2 story house and I need to replace my 19 y/o heat pump. My location is suburban Philadelphia.

The existing unit is 3 ton and seems to have handled heating and air conditioning with no problems. At this point having met with 4 vendors, I have recommendations for 3, 3.5 and 4 ton unit. Can anyone help me try to determine the correct size unit to buy.

    Thanks

The vender that did a correct manual J calculation and is known to be a reputable installer, with good referances and willing to give you a good at least 1 year labor warranty, plus the best warranty possible on the equipment is the one to go with, cheaper prices can be just that cheap, if you are not careful
