That's pretty sillyand illogical. By this logic you would have to say that O is a bigger war hawk than W, as many more US servicemen have been killed in the first 9 months of O's administration than in W's. That would be just as silly a thing to say. Going further - you would have to agree that Bush's economic policies were better than O's because the unemployent rate at this point in Bush's presidency was so much lower than O's. Somehow - I doubt you would agree with that!

ebaines what you are not pointing out is that the unemployment rate when Obama got into Office it was 7.8%. After 9months it has gone up about 2%. So Bush created the 7.8% and Obama has managed to contain it to only go up 2% in 9 months. Not to great but not that shabby.

Let me see. We were attacked on September 11, of the dufus's first term. As of today, Obama has kept us safe for 33 days LONGER in HIS first term, than the dufus did in his. How would YOU count that?

When you put it that way I'd agree, but you left out the "in HIS first term" part in the OP. By my count Bush kept us safe for roughly 7 1/3 years, Obama still has a ways to go.

ExCon was trying to compare the results of O's first 9 months with W's first 9. So by that thinking under O the unemployment rate is up 2% whereas under W in his first 9 months it was barely changed - does that mean that W was better at managing the economy? Please understand - I am NOT saying this is a valid argument; only that it shows how "facts" can be used in silly ways to try to jab the opposition, which of course was precisely ExCon's intent. None of this has any bearing on which guy is (or was) better for the country.
