Thermostat won't turn off heat at night
Hi, I have a programmable thermostat that is set at 68 at night. Lately it has not been kicking off and the heat continues to run up to around 78 or so. This only seems to happen overnight. This started last spring, and now that I'm using the furnace again - it's doing it again. And it didn't do this when using the A/C - it seemed to run correctly. Last night, I just put the "hold" on at 70 and at 3:30 in the morning it was on 77 again. I'm not sure if I need a new thermostat or not? The thermostat isn't more than 3 years old either. Thanks for your help... Tom.

There are thousands of different thermostats out there I wonder exactly which one you have since my crystal ball is broken and back in the repair shop.

I see you didn't leave your funny pills back at the repair shop.

I take my funny pills with me at all times. Sometimes I take 2 when answering questions on this board. LOL
