I am seventeen and a half, my boyfriend is 18. We have a physical relationship and we have dealt with a few pregnancy scares. If I were to get pregnant, would he be considered to have "raped" me? Is it considered rape if he is 18 and I am 17?

    Where?

In general, no. It's not when you became pregnant; it's when the sexual relationship began.

If you continue having sex and get pregnant, what are your plans for supporting the child? You apparently don't have the money or understanding to practice safe sex if you've had a few pregnancy scares.

I realize that you plan to abort the fetus - instead of using abortion for birth control wouldn't it be better to use birth control to begin with?

    Why is that?

Georgia. I'm just asking, is it illegal for us to have sex if he is 18 and I am seventeen? I am not planning to get pregnant again, I am currently on the birth control Implanon.

Not now, no. It's about when the sexual relatiom ship started and from your other possts it appears that your mother would consider having him criminally charged.

Georgia. I'm just asking, is it illegal for us to have sex if he is 18 and I am seventeen? Actually, I had a miscarriage. I am not planning to get pregnant again, I am currently on the birth control Implanon.

One pregnancy scare should have been enough as to not have another one. But you've had a few? Practice safe sex at all times. Trust me, you don't want to start your adult life like that.

By like that, I mean pregnant, or contracting a STD.

So you're saying if the relationship started when we were both seventeen, he cannot be charged?

Here's my problem - you don't seem to have the same version twice. You are on Implanon but want to have it removed.

Three weeks ago you weren't pregnant but now you've had an abortion? https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/womens...nt-396875.html

You had a "scare" and your boyfriend was pressuring you about abortion in early September - no mention of a confirmed pregnancy.

In Georgia the age of consent is 18. So he is now guilty of rape since the two of you are having sex, he has just not been caught and convicted yet.

Getting pregnant has nothing to do with it. It is merely having sex that makes him guility.

If someone catches you, if your parents for example turned him in, he could go to prison for years and be a sex offender the rest of his life.

I know one boy locally that is doing five years in prison for having oral sex with his underage girlfriend

Thank you for the correction - I was wrong. I looked and thought it was 16.

Again, good catch and I thank you.

In this case where the OP and her mother have problems to begin with, I can see the boyfriend being charged.
