I am helping my Aunt, she has 80+ thousand in debt, she lives off ssa and is 76 and unable to work, she can't even get the funds needed to file a bankruptcy, she is paying for her home mortgage, is there a chance of the credit cards to come after her home?
And is there any legal help out there for people who can't afford the fees ?

A lien would most probably be filed against the home.

Legal Aid in your area might help but not all free legal "clinics" assist with Bankruptcy.
