YORK DIAMOND 80 Not Staying Lit. = No Heat blowing.
    Hey you

I have a York Diamond 80 - I don't have furnace model no. but I do have the Johnson Control board's model no. G91G951ADB-1403 (part no 031-01234-000).

The problem: When I try to run the furnace the combustion blower, glow coil, and the 5 ports (burners) function. However the burners do not stay lit for more than about 7 seconds.

The fan motor works on manual and I put a jumper on the fan motor while trying to turn on the furnace but still after 7 seconds the burners fail.

The diagnostic light on the board is not lit nor flashing.

    1. Does anyone have any ideas as to why the burners are turning off?
    2. What is causing the gas flow to stop?
    3. Should the board's diagnostic light be lit?
    4. Are they any other jumpers I should test?
    5. Is there a troubleshooting manual for this furnace?

    Thanks!!

You might try cleaning the flame sensor with steel wool or sand paper to see if this helps your situation. It is the cheapest thing to try but make sure you clean it well.

Thanks. However what about the diagnostic light on the control board; should the light be lit?

Clean the flame sensor first to see if the problem goes away. Clean it well with steel wool preferred or sand paper.

I ended up cleaning the flame sensor with steel wool and replacing the diagnsotic board with a newer model. The new model indicated the wiring was backwards to the flame sensor. Once I got the wiring right the heater works like a charm now. Thanks for your help and suggestions

On Tuesday 12/4 we replaced the ignitor switch to light the burners, worked well until 3am Thursday am - now we have a 4 flashing light indicator code, followed all the steps to reset but nothing. Any ideas? It's -12 at home right now.
