    Wood flooring too tight
Just bought a new home a couple of months ago. It has floating wood floors and I am finding out that, though it's pretty, I do not like it. It shows every foot print, for one. And it makes crackling, squeaky noises when walking on it. First question... is this normal? And secondly, I think it was laid too tight as in some areas, it looks "raised up" and when you step on these areas, you can see and feel it sink down level with the rest of the flooring. Is this normal or is it too tight? If this is a problem, what can I expect to see happen and what can be done about it?

    Need input.

    Thanks

This isn't right and it is not easy to fix. The floor was installed too tight or was not aclaimated to the home. Was the house brand new construction or just new to you?
