I got my miniature dashun in the winter. When I got home the dog did have some accidents on the carpet then we tried bringing her outside and she would do her bussines outside sometimes. Then when it got really cold she stopped and we got the puppy training pads. Until now she knew that she had to go into the bathroom open the door and do her stuff but now when it got warmer we decided to move the pad closer to the outside door. She got used to the new place where the pad is but she would still scratch the bathroom door and realize its by the exit door. And now every time she would scratch the door we would bring her outside with a pad but she refuses to do anything. She runs around making sounds but reafused to go outside. The second we came back inside I put the pad down and she did her bussines. Once I even waited when she really had to go at home and brought her outside with a pad. I stayed outside for more than an hour and she refused to go. The second we came inside and I set the pad down she did her bussines. Can somebody give me any tips on how to make her go outside?? Please its really frustrating me.

I think this would have been easier if you posted it in the winter. The poor dog may be confused by now. Now I think the best idea is to take the pad outside and be ready to sincerely praise her if she uses it out there. I can paste in material that has some more details you need.

Housebreaking starts before you get home with the new puppy. If you don't have
A crate, buy one. I prefer the more enclosed, den like plastic ones. Skip the
Bedding. At first it gets wet, and later it can be chewed into choking
Hazards. A wire rack in the bottom will help keep the puppy up out of
Accidents at first. They are available with the crates, but a piece of closely
Spaced wire closet shelving from a home supply place is cheaper. If you
Already have a metal crate, covering it may help. Just make sure you use
Something the puppy can't pull in and chew. Dogs that start in crates as
Little puppies, accept them very well. Never leave an unattended puppy loose
In the house. If nobody can watch it, put it in the crate. I suggest letting
The dog have its crate all its life.

Choose a command and spot you want it to use. The less accessible to strays,
The less chance of serious disease. If it is a female, choosing a
Non grassy spot will avoid brown spots later. When you bring it home, take it
To the spot and give it the command in a firm, but friendly voice. Keep
Repeating the command and let the puppy sniff around. If it does anything,
