    The greats
Hello to all who read this,

I am... well... a film fanatic... and so I want to do the industry justice by watching all the greats it has to offer. Next year I hope to get into a film school for which I want to be prepared ad know all about the greats, and just have a thorough knowledge of film.

So basically if you have a movie that you think would fit in the category "greatest films of all time" or "must watch" feel free to post the name of it below.

P.s. it can be recent or oldies, it does not matter.

    Thanks

Everything by Alfred Hitchcock. There was a movie called " The Sword of Gideon" that was really good. "The Magnificent Seven", "12 Angry Men", "Arsenic and Old Lace", To Kill a Mockingbird", "Rio Bravo", "Scent of a Woman" just to name a few.

I really have to think about it. I love movies too.

    I love movies from the 40's & 50's.

What is your all time favorite?

jmjoseph - wow... I don't even think I could answer that if I tried. I have so many favorites however a lot of my favorites are more recent movies as I have not had much of a chance to watch a lot of the oldies (something that I want to do)
However some favorites include: fight club, Gladiator, charlie and the chocolate factory (original), North Country, some like it hot, shakespeare in love... those are my "i love atm" movies

    ScottGem - yes helpful thanks

Well being a film fanatic you've probably seen these but just in case:
    - they aren't like modern films but they are good in their own way...
    The Godfather (all of them)
    Casablanca
    The original star wars movies
Breakfast at Tiffany's and other Hepburn movies
The Good the Bad and the Ugly
    Gone with the wind

    Then
    Beaches
    The breakfast club
    ET
    Pretty Woman
    Madame Doubtfire
    Titanic
    Princess Bride

    And then my favourites
    300
Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow
The Disney classics: aladin, Snow white, Lion King... Pirates of the Caribbean
Top Gun - The mission impossibles

    I can go on forever

Don't forget the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles--the highest-grossing independent film of all time, I believe. :)
