I know a girl. I have known her for about 1 1/2 years. We became friends and did quite a few things together but no dates. I told her how I felt around the end of the school year and lost touch till school started but it feels difrent. I'm not sure if I should ask her out. The only reason is the type of person she is I'm not sure if she would say no if she wanted to and don't want to drag her into something she doesn't want.

So you are back at school with her now.

How about trying to get the friendship back on the level it was before. Don't go asking her out or anything right yet.

Just have some fun with her. Ask her to do some stuff with you like you used to. When your with her make sure you have fun. That is what it should be about.

If when she is hanging out with you she is having a great time and lots of fun well she won't be able to wait until the next time you guys are hanging out again.

Understand? Don't take it so seriously. You are only at school. Be the fun guy. Especially around her.

Make her laugh. A friendship is a solid basis for a good relationship.
Just don't go rushing anything.

And don't smother her either. Just try and hang with her maybe once a week or so and then let her have her time. Just be yourself and have fun.

That's all I can really advise.

There's certainly no harm in asking. I'm sure she won't do something that she doesn't want to do. Take her answer, whatever it is, at face value.

Go slow and try to work your way back up to that spot. That being said, she's moved to a different spot in her life, which is why things seem different.
