I use the internet through my ps3 and there are times when it will ask me to insert storage whether it be media, or some other. I have not really explored my ps3 can someone out there please help.:

I have never had this message on my ps3.
How much are you storing on it? Do have have a lot of songs, movies, games etc loaded onto your hard drive?

I would say it's low to moderate storage that I use,
I.m a novice at this and would not know the terms used to express,
Exactly what's going on but, I'm willing to learn, and as I surf around,

Hi phillydawg, I was thinking that maybe you had too much information on your hard drive so it was asking you to insert another form of memory so you could use the internet... obviously that is not the case here...

I googled and found this site:

It basically says down the bottom that if you are trying to download a file that the PS3 does not support it will ask you to insert a storage device like a USB stick... unfortunately there is no fix for it.
