Why does my current 401k paperwork list a former employer C/O?
Hi, my names Howard and I currently had a 401k with my most current employer. When ever I receive information regarding my 401k, it lists C/O of an employer I had worked for 5-6 years ago. I tried searching online for the 401k dept of my previous employer and I noticed there is a class action lawsuit against them, and when I called the number listed it is disconnected! How can I find out if I have a 401k with them?
    Thanks for you help!

Hello Howard. What "information regarding [your] 401k" that you are receiving are you referring to? Do you mean quarterly statements form the plan administrator? If so, then simply call the plan administrator and ask about it. The plan administartpr's contact infrmatioin should be provided on the statements. You do not need to call your former employer at all.
