    Reversed Polarity
Regarding reverse polarity, I have 5 outlets in a room all showing reversed. The top of the outlets are wired to the light switch(red wire) the bottoms are hot all the time(black wire). When I remove the red wire from the switch the polarity is fixed.. if I hook that wire back up they then reverse again... any ideas??

It is wired like this? A 14-2 into the SPST light switch and a 14-3 out to the outlets. The incoming black wire is connected to the switch and the outgoing black wire. The outgoing red is connected to the other terminal of the switch. The whites are connected to each other. At the outlets, the jumper is broken and black wire connected to brass screws in the bottom, and the red to the top brass screw. The white is connected to the nickel plated screw. The first 4 outlets have an incoming and out going 14-3's. If so, I don't see why it isn't working right. If not, explain how it is wired.
