    Cost of inducer motor
I have a 17 year old bryant. I was told that the inducer motor is shot. Needs to be replaced. They are charging $935 to build it and replace it this includes service charges as well.
Is this reasonable and what are if any other options?
    THanks

That sounds a bit expensive to me but each area of the country sets there own labor rate and part markup. I would get a second opinion from a different local company.

Other option,, new furnace, just imagine this happening again next year, and paying another $935,, then you would have paid for most of a new furnace., but, I agree with hvac, that sure sounds expensive,, get more quotes.

That's pretty high, shop around! I agree with mygirlsdad,at 17 years old I would not invest another penny in the furnace. If you are in the U.S, install any gas furnace over 90% AFUE and you get a 30% tax credit up to 1,500 bucks, that would just about replace the furnace.
